I visited the Old Pioneer Village at Swan Hill recently and met Nev (Peg) Graham, the carpenter. Nev was very appealing with his felt hat and beard and was very obliging when asked to take his picture.

I have played with the images of Nev to give and antique effect.

Gone but Not Forgotten

A combination of two images - a portrait of a young student and an old grave site - and a couple of my own textures - one of clouds and one or rust.

On a weekend to Wallaroo, South Australia, I come across this old railway carriage. The graffiti and paint combined with natural wear and tear created a myriad of textures.

Changing Seasons - Autumn Colours

"Heaven is under our feet"

It is mid May here (Adelaide, South Australia) and the season is changing from summer to autumn and almost winter.

I love the colours of the leaves as the cool winds blow and leaves change from green to gold and reds to rusty brown and all shades in between.

I read "Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads" somewhere and it rings oh so true this time of year.

Story Boards

Trying some storyboard techniques in Lightroom and Photoshop. I used a couple of Kim Klasson's templates for CS and one of my own. Not really storyboards in the true sense of the word - rather a collection of like images.

I found lightroom a little cumbersome and not able to vary the size of the actual image in the box.

Once I understood about vector masking the process in photoshop seemed quite quick.

Refining the look and getting the boxes to look balanced might be another problem.
